Committing to Ango Practice
Fall 2026: Koan Practice for Real Life
Please note: formal ango participants must have an established, consistent zazen practice in place before signing up for this 30-day intensive.
If you’d like to take part in ango, first take the time to reflect on how you’d like to intensify your Buddhist practice during the 30 days. Identify what you would like to focus on and the possible changes you can make to deepen your practice—particularly your zazen. If you are new to ango or have questions about how to approach it, please contact Guiding Teacher Zuisei.
Ango participants are required to attend the four-part Buddhist Study Series beginning September 30 and at least one session of Private Teaching (daisan) with Zuisei, see details below.
Cost
There is no additional cost to participate in ango, though dana for Zuisei is always appreciated.
